Like any doting mum I wanted the best for my baby. So when the time came to give them their first taste of real food, I wanted to make sure that their initial experience was a good one. I wanted to give them fresh, wholesome ingredients and tasty meals. I believe that exposing babies to a wide variety of foods is the best way to cultivate good eating habits for life and that those children who have been given variety in their diet are less picky eaters.

Unfortunately providing the best meals for my children was quite a chore. First, I had to shop for the ingredients. This inevitably meant a trip to the market to get the freshest produce. Then I had to devise different meals from the raw ingredients. I didn't want to make the same thing over and over again. Then there was the boiling, steaming, cooking, pureeing and freezing! All this, whilst ensuring that everything was clean, hygienic and that the meals were appropriate for my baby's age. It was exhausting!

Being a busy mum, I couldn't keep up the pace and started looking at commercially prepared baby food. I was disappointed with what was available - most of the baby food I found on the market was unappetising and on further investigation, tasted pretty dull too. I believe that the food you give to your baby should taste delicious and should be made with the best possible ingredients you can get.

My friends and I teamed up to exchange recipes using fresh ingredients and fast-freezing in handy sized pots. Thus Gourmet Goo was born! All our flavours are unique and designed to tantalize your baby's taste buds. Our recipes have even been through the taste test of some very picky eaters! We at Gourmet Goo love food  and we want to share that love with you and your little ones.

We offer individual sized gourmet inspired meals which most traditional commercial baby food lacks. Our meals also offer health-conscious parents a wholesome, convenient, homemade meal without the added salt, sugar, colourings, E numbers, thickeners and chemicals of mass produced food brands.
